Welcome!

What a wonderful time to be a part of Heritage Christian School. We have just celebrated 40 years in 2023. 40 years dedicated to the educating of young people in the Port Macquarie – Hastings Region, of providing whole of student education to serve our families. We have graduated countless students who have gone on to impact communities in meaningful ways, whether as doctors, nurses, teachers, engineers, lawyers, TV personalities, pastors, builders, carpenters, hairstylists and many other extraordinary ways.

Our purpose is clear:
Heritage Christian School exists to partner with families, and equip staff to develop highly capable students, of  Christian character, ready to serve and enrich the community for the glory of God.

We achieve this through having truly excellent Christian teaching staff who are dedicated to ensuring that our students can give their best to their learning. We have beautiful grounds to learn in and a strong array of resources to support their learning.

At Heritage Christian School we are all about learning. Learning is integral to our purpose, and it is the fun part of being at school. At our school we are developing students who are courageous learners. They have a tenacity for playing with new ideas and resilience enough to embrace mistakes as further learning opportunities. Most significantly, at Heritage Christian School, we learn about who God is and who we are. This occurs as we learn about the created world and our role as stewards of the Earth; and this occurs in situ within our NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority) accredited curriculum subjects.

The defining aspect of our school is that we are more than just a learning community – we are a Christian Learning Community. Being a Christian Learning Community adds a layer of grace, care and compassion to our learning and sets out a framework that holds God in the place of reverence which He deserves and helps us understand the world that He has created for us to enjoy. We see each of our students as valuable, made in the image of God and we see each of them as loved by Jesus, who died on the cross and was resurrected so that we might also be in relationship with Him by faith.

Everyone has a worldview, that is a lens through which they view the world. Ours is explicitly Christian, it is a worldview of hope, justice, grace, and mercy. We warmly invite you to join us at Heritage Christian School.
